MORE ABOUT CS SPEECH PATHOLOGY

At CS Speech Pathology, children and families are supported through a neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based approach that recognises and celebrates each child as an individual. Neurodivergence is embraced, and a safe, respectful, and affirming space is prioritised so that every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

There is a strong focus on early intervention, with the belief that early, thoughtful support can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development. Therapy is grounded in evidence-based practice while remaining flexible, child-led, and responsive to each child’s unique profile, interests, and learning style.

Our Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach

A neuro-affirming framework is taken that respects how children experience, communicate, and interact with the world. Therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Instead, close collaboration with children and families supports the development of therapy plans that reflect strengths, support differences, and honour each child’s identity.

There is a strong commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to ensure practice remains current, respectful, and informed by the evolving understanding of neurodiversity.

Strengths-Based, Play-Based Therapy

Connection sits at the heart of the approach. Children are understood to learn best when they feel safe, understood, and motivated. Sessions are play-based and strengths-led, using toys, games, and special interests to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

By following the child’s lead and building on what they enjoy and do well, a relaxed environment is created where communication skills can grow naturally and confidently.

Early Intervention & Hearing Support

CS Speech Pathology supports a range of communication needs, with a strong focus on early intervention. With a background in hearing loss and trained in Auditory Verbal Therapy, specialised support can be provided for children with hearing loss to develop listening and spoken language skills through everyday interactions.

How We Work with Children and Families

Therapy at CS Speech Pathology is collaborative, flexible, and family-centred. Collaboration with parents, carers, and educators ensures strategies are practical, empowering, and meaningful beyond the therapy room.

Above all, CS Speech Pathology supports children and families with compassion, respect, and understanding — celebrating neurodiversity and creating a space where every child can thrive.
